About Stenholmen:
History: Family Ljungqvist founded buisness with icelandichorses in late 1980´s. Starting with breeding and trading. First stallion arrived 1988: Hrammur fra Akureyri.
Ever since have we had stallions ( 1-4 ) stationed at our farm each summer.
In 1990´s we were managing a big training and breeding centre out side Gothenburg at the westcoast of Sweden.
Our stallion Funi fra Skala won silver medal T1 at Worlchampionship 1993.
Starting to show breedinghorse under farmname Stenholmen up to now, eleven have reached in to first class so far. In 2003 we bought the farm Gerstorps säteri out side Linköping.
In 2007 we started ab EU approved AI-centre at Gerstorp and 3 top stallions were aviable on transport semen.
2008 we had 2 worldchampions and 2 stallions with worldclass high BLUP score. All 4 with very good individula judgement.
